Cursing, yelling, screeching,
kicking,
the beast bellows
out
his mighty call.
Does she dare
answer
his chilling scream?

she does not

will find her
and
demand a response,
though
if she does

will consume her
anyway.
Like a china
cup
on the brink
of
a mountain crag,
one
breath of angry
wind
or a careless tap
will send her over,
broken
she will lie.
In
darkness she will
carefully
put herself back
together,
put on a
smiling
face, despite the
showing
cracks and the
missing
chips, evident in
her
life. Won't she
leave?
Can't she let
this
