In high school, I learned from my teachers and classmates that asking for help will (believe it or not) help you! I used to be too proud - too independent, as I thought of it - to admit to not knowing something. Now I realize I was simply too foolish.
This piece is about where I might have been without my teachers’ constant pleas for questions. I am so lucky to be surrounded by great people at my high school who teach me more words and numbers. My advice to anyone who is stubborn like me: learn to deal with it now, however you can, and you won’t regret it.
