True Alone
She smiles to hide the hurt
that is all bottled up inside
things she doesn't want people to know
because she's afraid of how they may react.
Except for when she is alone
that's when the true her shows
all of the tears start flowing
this is the true her glowing.
No one knows the real her
not any of her friends or family
they only see what's on the outside
and they figure her inside is the same.
She's seeking for internal happiness
but it's not that easy to find
you could be searching all your life
and never find it's hiding place.
Still, she hides the pain
pretending she is fine
nothing could be better
as she lives this lie.
