Why couldn’t you just leave me be?
I can’t stand this new reality.
Don’t force me to choke out the words
If you’ll just live like you’d never heard.
You can’t tell me these thoughts don’t matter
And make my present world scatter
After pushing me for them for ages
And forcing me to write these pages.
Tomorrow I will choose to forget
Just know, you haven’t screwed up yet.
I wouldn’t want to lose you
Even though I would never choose you.
So, this time, let me be.
I’m building a new reality.
