Beauty and its Beast
On the surface all we see,
Is who that person seems to be.
The Beauty there, in all its glory,
You never see its Beast and its actual story.
Only the superficial is shown,
Everything else remains unknown.
Until someone somewhere comes along,
Trying to get you to sing your secret song.
It lies there, somewhere, underneath,
Beneath that crafted masterpiece.
Once exposed, it’s hard to comprehend,
For most, it is the beginning of the end.
Though when revealed it leaves a scar,
You finally see the person they actually are.
Then all you need is someone there,
Someone with who you can lay everything bare.
It’ll be them in whom you trust,
Revealing your secrets becomes a must.
It’s the only way despite your shame,
For the Beast to be tamed.
