Just the Three of Us
My mom me and little sister
That makes us three
Away from the life we once knew
Living with grandma and Grandpa Carr
It was not easy to make this choice
My mom had to figure out how to have a voice
It was bad the life she had
Living everyday with abuse and neglect from our stepdad
She didn’t want us kids growing up
Learning all the wrong stuff
So away we drove: mom me sis and two cats and a pup
Again making this move was really tuff
Our mom keeps us together
Always to the day she dies
We might not have all we once had
But together just the three of us
Is not so bad
