I Remember...
Sunshine, friendship,
Laughter and love -
Love grew from hate, blosomed and shone.
Left me breathless, wanting more.
Loving it,
In a haze,
His words like a song in my head, forever played.
Little looks, locked eyes,
secret talks,
kisses.
Happiness.

Then -
confusion,
arguments, upset and hurt.
No more laughing anymore, only cursing -
The silence penetrates, through the deepest parts.

It's over.
Friendship - gone.
Laughter - gone.
Love - gone.
Now only darkness,
And I'm alone, remembering...

I wrote this piece from personal experience about a year ago (2011)and although that part of my life is now over I like to keep this poem as a reminder of the experiences - both happy and sad.
