You can always rinse the surface, but the stain will remain.

He spends his life sailing the seas
While shooting his cannons
Because he is captain.
For his desires he looks to his compass.
Whichever direction he points the ship,
With its many ragged sails of black.

Through skies of blue or black,
No matter how rough the seas,
His heart still lies with the ship.
Whoever objects must face his cannons.
Once they’re defeated, he looks back to his compass,
For the crew puts faith in their captain.

They all know his name but tend to forget the captain,
But remember when they see his pearl of black.
Lord envies the mystical compass
And wants it to take him to what he sees.
So they will hear the ring of his canons
And do anything to protect their cherished ship.

Huzzahs flow through the assailed ship
As the crew bows to their captain
And kisses their trusty canons.
“Long live the sails of black!
Never shall we be defeated on these seas!”
However, the pesky monkey has stolen the compass.

The monkey is shot and the captain retrieves the compass.
Now he can lead on the quest of the ship
And continue to plunder the seas.
A problem is drawn to the attention of the captain.
There’s no longer any rum and the future is black.
In desperation, it was all shot out of their cannons.

With sudden realization, the crew unhooked the cannons.
He grasps for dear life on to his adored compass,
Trapped in the locker, before the sky turns black.
Rocking ‘til up is down for their beloved ship.
Suddenly emerging successful is the captain.
The crew has returned to the seven seas.

Whoever he pleases he’ll seize with cannons.
Forever the captain succeeds with his trusty compass
On his mystic ship with the sails of black.
