Light vs. Dark

DARK is what haunts,
The revealer of fears.
what takes and hides,
and tricks the mind.
DARK is the sanctuary.
It is where you disappear.
Like a giant blanket,
a blanket stained with black.
You can't escape DARK.
DARK is everywhere.
But you can find LIGHT.
LIGHT is in everything.
LIGHT is flowers after winter,
The good found in bad.
LIGHT is like laughter
in a place filled with sorrow.
It is safety and warmth
shining down on the cold Earth.
LIGHT is hope.
An escape from the DARK.
