Family Vacation
The car ride there is such a bore
I can't wait to get my feet on that shore
To feel the sand between my toes
The scent of salt water in my nose
To hear the waves calling my name
Intensely playing a stupid video game
With my older cousins, we'll tan and talk
With the little cousins, we'll swim, run, and never walk
Going shopping, eating out, and going to water parks
Avoiding all fish especially the sharks
Building sandcastles and playing frisbee
Watching movies, of course, only Disney
Trying to put up with little cousins sure is tough
Trying to fit in with the older kids sure is rough
Perpetually stuck in the middle and bored
With so many of us, it's easy to be looked over and ignored
Almost time to go, dreading the car ride home
It'll just be me all alone
Our family time sure is fun
I'd never trade a moment of it, not even one.
