Alcatraz
I felt tied
like ropes around a prisoner
like linen wrapped on a mummy
like the walls of Alcatraz
I wept
I never knew what it felt like
to really cry
no one could comfort me
no one had been through
what I had
no one could ever be sadder than I
the lonely
the alone
the orphan
the girl who's parents
can no longer look after her
the one where everyone I know
everyone I love
is dead
