Favorite Quote:
"Fall down seven times; stand up eight."

As they nailed you to the rugged cross,

And pierced you with my sins,

you didn't cry out for help,

or beg for mercy from them.

You watched as they laughed and mocked your claim to be the son of God above,

And when they spit upon your face, You turned the other cheek, All because of love.

With every drop of blood and the crown of thorns upon your head,

You took away my sins and made me new.

You stayed on the cross, when you could have got off.

And I'm forgiven, for what you didn't do.

You could have split the heavens open,

or sent your angels to destroy humanity.

Instead, you let them persecute you,

for all the world to see.

They taunted you. They said, "If you're really the Messiah,

Get yourself off the cross; break yourself free.

And even though you could have easily saved yourself,

you sacrificed that, to save me.

You could have walked away and left everybody to drown in their sin,

Instead, you opened up your arms on the cross, and took the whole world in.

With every nail and every lash, you took away my sins and made me new.

You stayed on the cross, when you could have got off.

Thank you Jesus, I'm forgiven, for what you didn't do.
