An Order
Stop me in my tracks.
Stand in front of the car
and don’t flinch.
And as I inch forward…
don't even bat an eye.
Saunter to my window.
Ad when I roll it down,
reach in –
ignore my gasp of surprise –
and unlock the door.
And open it.
And as I try to gather myself,
laugh.
That soft chuckle of yours.
Immediately –
I’ll be relaxed.
Look down on me
with a twinkle
in those deep blue eyes.
Hold out your hand.
I may look like I’m hesitating,
but in reality,
I’m only
paralyzed
by your presence.
And when I put my palm in yours,
and your fingers intertwine with mine,
remember –
never let me go.
