Winter
I hate you, winter!
I hate your snow.
I’m always cold.
Whenever the sun comes out
The snow’s too bright.
There’s nothing good about you, winter.
I hate everything about you
Even your beauty.
It’s so deceiving
Because underneath it all
Is ice or something bad like a pothole.
You take forever at going away
I can’t help but wonder
When is summer gonna get here
Will it ever come back?
I look at the calendar
And it’s still January.
Just a couple more months
I tell myself
But it doesn’t make you go away any faster
You’re still here
Making my life miserable.
Now it’s April
And it’s still snowing.
