I will stand with the night
To fight the man who laughs
You will never see my sight
Dropping a gavel from a great height
To execute the lawyer made of halves
I will stand with the night
Or the warrior with immense might
Even the mad hatter whose technology enslaves
You will never see my sight
The man who enjoys watching ones fright
And a dummy that controls how a ventriloquist behaves
I will stand with the night.
Even a penguin bringing an umbrella to a gunfight
Nothing will stop me, not even an injury to the back or calves
You will never see my sight.
In this city, I am the silent knight
The explosion of a bank, and a faint, hysterical laugh
I will stand for the night
And you will never see my sight.
