Your Happiness Thrives On My Sorrow
Your happiness thrives on my sorrow and I’ve shed all my tears,
But there is still more anguish to come,
So can I borrow some of yours?
You know,
The tears you hide behind your glazed over eyes,
The ones who are absent-minded to the fact that streams pour from my own?
The streams that flood the pores,
And destroy the prosperous crops of my self-esteem.
But it is not my own flooding,
It’s your treacherous thunder and perpetual rain,
That lessens the factors of my being.
So is there a reason for being,
Besides living in your torment?
