Stone Girl
Her loneliness brings streams of tears, her silent screams only she hears
She doesn't feel her father's arms catching her as she falls
Pain or love it doesn't matter, she doesn't feel anything at all
The mirror says she's fat and ugly, the voices say they'll sell her for a nickel gladly
My owner's will say, "I long for my nickel. This stone girl can't tell night from day."
A man in white came and said, "This is no stone girl, she is a dirty pearl.
She is worth more than a nickel and the price has already been paid."
Taking me into his arms, he said, "My child don't be afraid.
I have heard your cries, I have seen through the lies.
I will always love you no matter what you do.
I long to turn your stone heart into a heart of flesh.
First, I need your permission, all you have to say is yes and I will do the rest."
