Fear of the Unknown

Here we are,
Standing here,
With nowhere to go,
And everything to fear.
Barely breathing,
Barely holding on,
Where the road will lead,
Is a mystery to all.
Is that what we're scared of?
The fear of the unknown?
The fact that our path
Has yet to be shown?
I know that things
Will work out in the end
The times will get better,
And my help I will lend.
