"I Am"
I am just a human being; making mistakes but trying again.
I wonder why people worry, but never do a thing.
I do my best to care about others everywhere.
I see only what I want to see, but
I want to overcome my pretense too, for
I am just a human being, making mistakes and trying again.
I know that one person can make a difference, and
I feel exhilarated when I’m able to help.
I struggle to determine what’s right and what’s wrong, but
I worry that I won’t learn from my mistakes.
I cry for all the opportunities missed, but
I am just a human being, making mistakes and trying again.
I understand that there’ll be hardships in the way, but
I believe that anything is possible.
I agonize that people will forget what’s most important, but
I find hope in little acts of kindness.
I hope that one day I can get other people to help, but for now
I am just a human being, making mistakes and trying again.
