GOODBYE

Moments have passed
with pieces missing
as time has slipped
through the cracks of our hands
laughter is shattered
tears are shed
your face, your voice
is no longer
your friendship is gone
time changes
we are different
once like sisters, now strangers
we have faded,
drifted father apart
promises broken
spoken words, taken to heart
saying goodbye, starting over
is something we will have to do
the only thing left for me to say is
I will never forget you.

Normally I don't look at poetry but your words were wonderful. You drew me into the poem and I hope you continue writing pieces like this.
