A Soldier's Death
Bodies strewn all around
As I lay quiet on the ground
The days were cold, the people tired
Cries were heard, from soldiers dying
My mouth was dry, my legs were numb
No escape, has yet to come
Blood was dripping, sleeves were torn
My eyelids closing, my heart in mourn
Gasping for just one more breath
I am still and cold from death
