If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there. - Lewis Carroll

I'm the kind of girl that never wears dresses,

I'm the type of woman who loves my jeans.

I'm the kind of girl that was never innocent,

I'm the type of woman that revels in naivete.

I'm the kind of girl that worships beauty,

I'm the type of woman who cherishes flaws.

I'm the kind of girl that loves completely,

I'm the type of woman who buries my heart.

I'm the kind of girl that lies manipulatively,

I'm the type of woman who harbors honesty.

I'm the kind of girl that hates indefinitely,

I'm the type of woman who has discovered forgiveness.

I'm the kind of girl that is always running away,

I'm the type of woman who is finally homesick.

I'm the kind of girl that knows everything,

I'm the type of woman who doesn't always understand.

I'm the kind of girl who gives too much,

I'm the type of woman who's learned to be selfish.

I'm the kind of girl that doesn't care,

I'm the type of woman who wants to save the world.

I'm the kind of girl that loves attention,

I'm the type of woman who's camera-shy.

I'm the kind of girl that never believes,

I'm the type of woman who's finally loved.

The author's comments:
I was simply reflecting on how much I had changed in recent years, and how much I hadn't. How absolutely different I was and, yet, how utterly the same I would always be. On how we get to a point where we truly become ourselves, no more childhood, no more maturing. You have lived a life and here is your prize: an unchanging Personality to replace your ever-changing mind. I was reflecting on this, and realized, for the first time, that I loved who I am, and so I decided to share it.
