Arsenal
You pull back your loaded comment
As it fits your tongue cloaked bow
That is carefully aimed
At an unsuspecting target
His friend sees your ammunition flying and
Quickly arms himself.
The heavy weight of rumor rests like
Steel in his hand
He fires back a secret that streaks quickly
Through the halls to your disadvantage
Your army was unarmed and
Now they seek revenge.
Soon the ugly sound of
Profanity filled Cannons
Exploding in the Halls
Is heard everywhere.
Someone dies in the caustic verbal war
Crossfire
But no one can find the shot
That killed him and
The marksman’s tracks are
Far from fresh
So the next time you pull the
Safety off the sentence on your tongue
Be careful,
Your words are loaded.
