The Man & The Star
To see a star from afar and not be able to touch it
is like taunting a man with food even knowing he is starving.
To know if he ever ate the food was to be sinful.
So he sat there licking his lips dieing from his hunger clinching his fists.
For his one final wish to touch the star and to taste it.
Reward from afar.
As he died and his spirit floated by.
His body only gave one last tear
and so it happened and disappeared.
Today he walks upon men’s mines.
Still in sorrow all the time.
As if the star was the tear
gone forever with in one’s fear’s
for if it happened ever again
would be hell for just one man.
