Something is touched
One façade stripped away
Dignity is unimportant
Should it be true

Fear of rejection
of ridicule, of pain
Swallowed with effort
~Please let this be true.

One gloved hand extended
Met by one that is bare
Sharing comfort and warmth
In one sheltered touch.

Problems unimportant, forgotten
The moment is the truth
the light, the key,
and the love.

Something has been touched
deep inside
Another mask has slipped away
as he smiles.
