Visions of fire before her eyes
The one place she called home alight
With fire long into the night
That is where it all began
With horrific screams
And blistered hands
Car horns sound
She now awakes
Forgetting that horrific day
Dirt and Grime cover skin
She waits for the day to begin
Hair all in a tangled mess
Seen as vermin, filth, a rat
Left upon the streets to die
Hope for salvation subsides
