Like Diamonds in the Sea
I’m startled by the wind
as it blows and goes.
It takes my scarf away
and it soars to the shores.
I chase the swift thief
as it swirls and twirls.
My legs fly with the wind
But Mother Nature is much too quick
When I arrive at the shore
I watch the sunrise as it shimmers
as each ray makes the ocean glimmer,
Like little diamonds in the sea--
And to me, there isn’t a lovelier sight.
I’m entranced and amazed,
As my scarf slithers over the sea,
Passing the walls of clouds,
And towards the golden sun.
