Summer Sun
I long for the feeling of sun on my face
Full of love, set into place
The joy and fun it will bring
Fills me with ecstasy to the point of singing
The warmth it gives me thoroughly
Let it sink into me and show me its sensitivity
The beads of sweat will trickle down my face
As I feel its enticing embrace
The rays will bend around me
As a mother would her child
It makes me happy
Even if it is only for a little while
As the day goes on
And its face goes away
I think to myself
“Another Day”
It will be back tomorrow, stronger than before
I can’t wait until I open my door
So that I can feel the sun on my face
Full of love and set in its place
