Spring Has Sprung
Spring has sprung
I remember when I was young
I just hung and swung
From the monkey bar rungs
Chickadees chirped
Snow cones were slurped
The world was a simpler place
I gazed at daffodils blooming
Was amazed by Cardinals zooming
And utterly phased by those Easter scents fuming
I danced in floral dresses
I thought “mother nature blesses
The world with colors and sounds”
Yes spring has sprung
I remember when I was young
I just hung and swung
From the monkey bar rungs
Chickadees chirped
Snow cones were slurped
The word was a simpler place
