Acceptance
The shadows in the room cast around her
One by one, darkness is approaching
This comes at a time everyday
Where the truth is finally portrayed
At last the makeup is removed
The designer clothing is taken off
She kicks her shoes out of sight
Why does she try so hard?
This feeling of loneliness takes over
The sensation of beauty should come from within
The lies that she lives disturb her
Why is image all that matters?
As time comes and goes
The aroma from her perfume diffuses throughout the room
None of this is done for herself
Why must she try to be someone else?
I do not do this for myself
I only try for you
The meaning of life will come soon
And I will accept me for me
