Blood of the Holocaust
The sky a shroud of blood and tears,
People drowning in sorrow and fear,
From the trains, see burning towers,
Divided then forced to the showers,
Few by fate are draped in water,
Gassed the rest, a guiltless slaughter,
Nazi’s ignored the baby’s cry,
Those who lived are soon to die,
Workers in the camps each day,
Slowly their lives waste away,
Toiling away, sickness comes,
Nazis shoot and they succumb,
World War II is ending soon,
Auschwitz will then be doomed,
Death camps close, some Jews set free,
Too many murdered ruthlessly,
Nazi’s hunted for their crimes,
Of atrocities transpired in our times ,
Hitler left a searing scar,
Over Europe, near and far.
