Someone to Love
I sit here and watch life go by
With no one to love or love me
At least not in the way I want
I lay here and write all through
As years, months, weeks pass by
Hoping for only seconds ‘til I die
Fed up with all this fun
I attempt to work up the courage
The kind that helps or once
To pick up that knife or satisfying gun
Alas,
I start to fill up on hope
Like bread and water it is only temporary
For I still want only love
But what kind of person gets that
What you want means happiness
What life wants is to kill that
Doesn’t sound so bad, does it?
But my sarcasm is as real as my smile
Here I am wishing again
I don’t learn do I?
We both know how this ends
There is no such life
Hate is always destined to win
