Goodbye
Wave
Smile
Frown
Cry
Grin
Death
Everyday in the forsaken world
Someone says goodbye
Either for good, for bad or forever
Goodbyes are never good
So why is that part of the word?
Why is this prefix
Followed by unforgiving pain?
He waves to her insanely
While smiling ‘til his face hurts
Then relaxing with a frown
As he watches his friend skip town
He cries everyday as he’s just realized
That he made her leave for good
He grins and does what he should
Calls her everyday
Until she doesn’t answer
He smiles and cries altogether
Realizing that she’ gone forever
Goodbye he says
And now they are still together
