Saved
You saved my life,
Don’t think I’m lying.
At the time all I could think about was dying.
Then along came you and your willingness to listen.
You alone saw my pain,
And helped me even when you knew you wouldn’t gain.
You saw my anger and my sadness
And you took it away
And you made me some of the person that I am today.
You saved the better parts of who I am.
The parts of me I almost shattered,
When not feeling was the only thing that mattered.
But you changed that,
I can never repay you for what you have done.
I hope I can do the same thing for someone.
