A Sharp Slash
It took only a few short words
And I finally understood
We never spoke again
It was over for good
A sharp slash
And a friendship gone in a flash…
I never thought that it would ever
Have to end like this
Countless days laughing at the park
No longer exist
A large void
And an alliance destroyed…
Now I know that what you said
Is just what you meant
My confidence fell
Now my actions are hesitant
No more trust
Only a sense of disgust…
As time rolls by
I begin to become more convinced
That it wasn’t what I needed
And the pain is minced
It’s a friendship foregone
I’m moving on
