I know there's much in the world that is bad
I know I could be taken at any given moment, no one's got it completely made
But I've been taught to never lay down and be had
But I will not be afraid

I know there is much in this land that is dishonest
There are too many undue good byes bade,
I know people will put my honesty to the test
But I will not be afraid

I know there is much in my own state that is violent
People just sit and eventually fade
Too many people sit there and are silent
But I will not be afraid

I know there is much in my city that is sad
People killing people, then they turn on themselves for a final debt to be paid
There has to be an easier way to figure out the good from the bad
But I will not be afraid

I know there is much that is bad, but I will not back down
It's time to grab this bull by the horns and let it rage
We should not, can not, let this turn all the way around
We can not be afraid
