Changes
The Audrey Hepburn of her generation
She lives in the city that says “hello”
With her “maybe later” parents,
always away
She sits in her room,
waiting and wishing
someone will come to save her
Her mind dances as she turns to the real life TV set,
The window,
where the moonlight seeps in
She thinks of the boy with a face like Brad Pitt
Soft straw colored hair swept to the side of his face
The knight in shining armor she longs to hear from
the city now has a sinister smile and a booming voice.
His face turns into a monster
The city says goodbye.
