The Creed
Silence is in the room now
I asked a simple question that made you falter
The answer becomes clear, though you have not said it, take a bow
Forget what you promised on the altar
A promise, no, a vow so sacred to me
A vow so precious and binding
You've spoiled it all successfully
And you brush it aside never minding
Not minding that I am hurt and weak
Not acknowledging your action
No words can describe the pain you have decided to seek
And no contradiction to my accusation
Only a dumbfounded face to sneer at
Just a gaping mouth to make me seethe
A broken heart and tears to prove that
And only a poem to become the creed
