Loving and Loathing
When you looked into my eyes,
It's you I despise.
"Fire! Fire!"
You're no liar.
It was burning me.
Your gaze, I mean.
I loathe you.
I love you.
Feelings blended,
Beginnings ended,
"Mommy! Mommy!"
Shouts my baby.
I can't hear her,
My heartbeat is thunder.
It isn't a show,
and she'll never know.
Who hit her?
Me
Who hugged her?
Me.
I'm trying.
I'm dying.
She may fall.
We had it all.
