I'm Not the Me You See
I’m not the me you see.
I can’t seem to speak right.
But inside, you will find me.
I do not feel free
to express my inner light.
I’m not the me you see.
No one seems to notice me,
people look over my type.
But look inside, and you will find me.
I want to pick up a key
and put what is locked up, in plain sight.
I’m not the me you see.
I want to be
myself, but I always get all tight.
Please, look inside, and you will find me.
Get to know me,
then you’ll know I shine bright.
Because I’m not the me you see,
look inside, and you will find me.
