Dividing Zero
Men don’t cry. I’m a liar.
I am weak. I am not a man.
I am a father. My child no longer bothers.
I’m not dead, but I feel like I’m chained to my bed.
Like My shoes are filled with lead.
I cannot let this get to my head.
I don’t need meds!
I yell. I scream.
They cannot hear my pleads for Love.
“Let us help you they say”
Get out of my way.
I do not need your pity.
They try to catch me.
I run so quickly. I find a place.
In this city I call home.
I claim this chair my throne.
I rule…alone.
