ALONE
You hear the laughs,
You see the smiles,
you know that they're all lies,
but you go on and pretend,
That you don't have a clue.
Everyone seems so happy,
with this mask of false joy,
we all pretend so well,
but eventually we get sick of pretending.
By the time we're ready to remove the mask,
that we'ce hid behind for so long
we're too afraid to show ourselves
because we feel were all alone
The truth is, we all feel that fear,
that insecurity
but no one lets it show.
Try and remove the mask,
a little bit at a time,
'cuz we all have secrets
that we're just yearning to share
