Raw wood and leather
Raw wood and leather
You deserve a Harley Davison
A new truck to
A home to call your own and books to fill the walls
Good women’s loving, and a good dog by your side
The countryside, with rolling grassy hills, trees that grow tall
No city lights, just stars to light the way
Peace, clam, steady like a river flowing freely amongst the rocks
Like a woodsman big and strong, a country boy surviving
But to me you’re a leather jacket that smell that lets me know who you are
No one else can wear it; you were made of wood shaving and new hide leather
That’s how I know you’re near and that’s how I remember you dad.
