Fall From Grace
My savior grew fangs
and his eyes turned red.
The hand that touched—
handling me oh so delicately—
turned rough and forceful
groping, pushing, and hurting.
A violation
down out of sight,
A stabbing movement
rips through me.
literal and physical
splits through my heart
pierces into my stomach
ruptures my soul
and cuts repetitively
in a secret place
now tainted.
And in a moment, a second
you’ve stolen purity;
replaced white with red.
in a moment, in a second,
I’ve been damaged and dirtied.
Unfixable
in a moment, in a second
it’s all over (for you)
but in a moment, in a second
you created a moment, a second
eternal for me.
