Why is it that every time something good
Comes along something bad has to tag along too?
And you know there is nothing you can do.
You felt numb and helpless as you just stood
There hearing the news, impacting your mood.
Realizing that it is no bad dream,
Learning that this is what it is and seems,
And accepting that you’ve done all you could.

Yet this is the life we don’t get to choose.
You have to accept everything it brings,
You have to adjust to all the new things,
And you should embrace people you may lose.
Remember all the small and little things,
Because you just never know what life brings.
