Shattered.
I can't fix what's already broken,
I've tried that enough already.
It always ends with bloody fingers
and most times an obituary.
I can't promise to fix you,
or tape all the little pieces.
I can only try to smile,
until all the pain ceases.
I can't lie to you by saying;
"You'll be fine in the end."
Because everyone will die eventually,
and it's just something we have to comprehend,
But what I CAN do is always be there,
when you really need a friend.
With a hand to hold, and understanding,
and two clean ears to lend.
I can't fix what's already broken,
don't make me tell you twice.
Because when you see someone cracking,
listening might save their life.
