Different
The alarm clock rang, so I shut it off.
It could have been different.
I got out of bed and got dressed.
It could have been different.
I ate the delicious, chocolaty cereal and watched
The cartoons which once seemed so stupid to me.
It could have been different.
I went to school, which once seemed so boring.
It could have been different.
I stepped off the big yellow bus,
And walked down the long asphalt driveway
That was covered in the red and yellow leaves of autumn.
It could have been different.
I ate the large and tasty dinner.
It could have been different.
I took a hot shower in the large, white bathroom.
It could have been different.
I got into my pajamas and went to sleep in the big,
Blue bed knowing that one day, it will be different.
