The bird that flies through the winter sky
The lakes freezing over with frost
People ice skating,
And snow beginning to fall
The warmth of the fire after a long day of fun
Everything slowing down, things turning calm
Hot chocolate boiling
The joy of the season rising
Holiday shopping
And children flopping into the snow
The happiness and smiles on the faces
Of all around the area
Santa arriving at the mall
New music just for this time of year
When the piercing cold winter wind hits your face, that’s when you know
Winter is here
