Sitting on a desk,
Tossed aside like an over-used toy,
Only used when needed,
I fix mistakes,
When they are in pencil,
I hear conversations, the radio blaring,
The infomercials on the t.v. saying “Buy this now,”
The desk is dirty with dust and chip crumbs,
Only used when I am needed,
I see what I am to the people who live here
