She calls him in a whisper
She calls him in a whisper to see if his heart could hear. Then she desperately reaches out but now he is nowhere near. Icy shivers clench her ankles dragging her across the shards of glass. Her nails clawing to the floor But there's nothing to grasp. Pulled into her insanity once again But no one can hear her cries. Her insides shrivel and bleed affection So tired from endless tries. Desperate to scream but she's breathless now is when her heart begins to burn. Lying awake, cold and barely alive Fearing he'll never return.
